T-Mobile Hotspot @ Home for iPhone
Now that it's clear iPhone will soon be easily available for use on T-Mobile here in the U.S., it's a good time to start asking how we get T-Mobile's new Hot Spot @ Home VoIP calling service to function seamlessly on the iPhone! :D When T-Mobile eventually launches this service in Europe, they'll likely use the system they developed in the States, so this important work will have a huge impact!
If some genius in the community can figure this out  , this will give us all UNLIMITED MINUTES from our iPhones on any open & compatible WiFi network. When combined with T-Mobile's generally good-value calling plans, this will be a real contribution to eventually hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
We need a competent team who wants to work on this! (preferably someone who wants to use the feature as much as I do on their iPhone! ;) ). If you are willing to lead this, perhaps you can reply here, and others can join you?
Also, the team will probably need one of the HotSpot @ Home handsets, currently the SamSung t409 and/or a Nokia 6086, and possibly a D-Link TM-G5240 or the Linksys router that is designed for use with the service. Any volunteers to donate? :D
P.S. To get the unlimited WiFi calls via HotSpot @ Home, you have to add a HotSpot @ Home plan to your account. Right now T-Mobile has a promotion where you can lock it in for $9.99 a month, and it will stay that low for as long as you keep it active. This promotion ends Sept. 4th, when it goes to $19.99 a month -- I know people who have 1,000 minutes for $29.99 b/c they locked that deal in when it came out =-) ). I've already added the feature to lock in my long-term $9.99 per month unlimited WiFi calling deal -- now I just need HotSpot @ Home calling for iPhone!
