Is there any way to do this? I can't stand when I'm working and I dock my iPhone and iTunes is expanded in front of the stuff I'm currently working on. I've looked high and low in iTunes, but can't find anything to make this annoying behavior go away.
Was hoping for some type of terminal hack to solve this.
Not everything is solved in a baSH shell. This isn't one of those though.

For a permanent (but simple ;]) solution, just disallow iTunes helper from being launched. Like, rename it, modify the permissions (a custom permission is a good idea, actually), dismantle a critical part of the application daemon.
Now that I think of it, there might actually be some remnants of it lurking inside the login items of the accounts pane. Might wanna check that out.
I don't think you understood my problem. It's not iTunes being launched when it's closed because I dock my iPhone. It's iTunes expanding when it's open and minimized because I dock my iPhone. Killing iTunesHelper should have no affect on that.
