Reasons Why I Am Selling my iPhone AFTER Unlock

Not impressed at all !!

Call quality - poor
Speaker quality - crackly
Signal strength - weak
No MMS (multimedia messaging)
SMS is arranged in "conversations" - no sent items
American number format - means that my contacts saved in international format (+44 etc) comes up as a number when call receoved.
EDGE is painfully slow - I mean painfully
The device is too 'delicate' to be used in a realistic phone environment - ie out on the town, 8 pints of beer, a few Morgans and coke - you get the idea ?

I think its a nice iPod - but will definitely be selling my iPhone 8GB as I prefer a more 'normal' phone that has buttons. I should have learnt my lesson with the iMate JAM - that drove me mad with the screen.

So people - thats my conclusion after nearly 12 hours of use in fully unlocked mode.

The chase for the unlock was great ! When it arrived it was almost like wanting to go bed with Jennifer Aniston - nice idea, really would like too - but she would probably drive you mad after a while !

that's cool. i've been using the phone since the day it came out and can say it's evolved to be my favorite phone ever. it took me a few weeks to think that, so you may want to give it another chance.

i've dropped mine plenty of times and it still works like a charm... i'm glad i put the invisishield on it haha.

U think keyboard is to hard to use? U got monster fingers?
Change the number format with some simple tools.
Edge is fine for emails and shit, use the wifi for browsing.
Mms is dead tech, havnt used mms since it was released, email is the way to go.
Sms is arranged in Convo is fucking amazing, never have to have thousands of SMS`s and trying to delete all the sms`s from your ex girlfriend or something. Just delete her entry.

Well I live in UK and MMS is NOT dead tech ! We are so far ahead of the US in GSM mobile technology, coverage and speed. The 2.5G EDGE is not going to be popular over here in Europe.

And I cant even use the iPhone as a gateway for my Mac to access the web when travelling !! Totally useless !!

I live in the UK and I have never sent an MMS, always an email.

Yes u can use your Iphone as gateway for your mac, its another program u can download. U should learn to use google.
Dude, i live in South africa, we have the best cellphone service in the world. We have HSPDA(super 3g) Coverage over vast areas, and 3g EVERYWHERE(even in the jungle). No one uses MMS, most phones can hook up to email and get emails.

In my point of view, SMS is the worst app on the iphone. You can't delete a single SMS in a thread, you can't forward, you can't send to multiple recipients, you don't know how many chars you typed, you can't put a message in a safe place, you can't add custom folders, it doesn't work if sender is not a phone number. MMS is missing too, although I'm not using it very often. But it can't be compared to emails, except if you have push email (and your friends have too). In my country, a 1024 chars MMS is the same price as a SMS. All of my friends have MMS support. Not all have email on their phone. But I'm sure Apple is working on this. Just a matter of time.

You are missing the point ! I shouldnt have to go hunting for tools to enable something that is such a standard feature in every other model of mobile phone.

How much are u asking? Is it 8Gb or 4GB, HW or SW unlocked?
