(Pwaned 2.0.1 EDGE) Setting up voicemail once and for all
I've had my iPhone since the days of 1.1.2 and TurboSIM. I've never had problems and this place has been able to keep me upgrading (with a little patience) to the latest firmware with ease. There is however one thing I have never been able to make work ... my freaking VOICEMAIL!
I've been able to make the "Voicemail" button in the phone app point to my voicemail box through a tutorial found on this website.
The problem is that the phone itself doesn't direct calls to the voicemail box. If someone calls me, and I don't want to answer I can push the top power button to silence the call. However for the person calling me it just continues to ring and ring and ring, never directing them to leave me a message.
Recently I noticed the call forwarding options in the "phone" settings. I went and entered my voicemail number there and turned on call forwarding. Finally calls get directed to the voicemail box. However that's not a solution as it directs all calls to the voicemail, and I'd like to get the voicemail working like on a normal phone.
So what am doing wrong here guys? With some many of you jailbroken and on the carrier of your choice someone has to have an answer. Are you all living voicemail free? Or am I missing something?
In case it helps, I'm on Tele2 in Sweden. To call my voicemail I dial 222. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
