Im using geo method and is trying to reboot the phone with putty as told in the good tutorial from http://steve-jobs.com/iphone/ bud I get the message: -sh: reboot: command not found.... did I miss something?

You need to install installer.app and install the bsd subsystem before running putty. It's not in that tutorial, but it helped me, i had the same problem. And make sure the termcap file is definitely in the /usr/local/etc/etc location. That should help.
Also, if you don't install BSD, you can always restart your phone by holding the Power button; just reconnect the front plate cover. To restart it, just disconnect and re-connect the usb cable.
Or install the binkit
