Phone book number format
I've just unlocked the phone using free method. Before I was using it as a WiFi iPod and internet serfing device, but made some preparations for today. I moved all my contact here.
when someone is calling me the iphone shows the number but doesn't recognize a caller. I have all my contacts stored in internationall format +380 +44... +356... and carrier sends them as [+3] 8050... without country code. For SMSs it works just fine, they are recieved in international format.
"EASY" solution of converting all numbers back to local format is not good, becuse I will have to add the are code when I'm abroad, and it really happens :)
same problem in germany!
any ideas?
This has been discussed in several threads!
The only solution is to enter the number twice. Once with the international prefix, the other without.
Works until a better alternative is developed OR when the firmware is available for the European iPhone
First of tried to remove all international extentions to the phones and now I have all the number in 8067... format instead of +38067... Worked fine for incoming calls, but failed for SMS. My operator shows the message coming from a number in international format +38067... and I have all of them stored in the other way. Wired, but in the SMS conversations it looks fine, but when I get on screen annoucement, it's show +38050... but no Name :(
add two number at least for frequently used numbers...
What is so different between american operators about numbers, do they get international calls?
Is this only a problem with the freesimunlock ? ... or also with turbo sim/hypercard/psm kit ? ... tnx
