is normal to be appears the E in the top of Iphone ?

Dear Friends

when im turn on my iphone appears the "E" letter in the top of the Cell Phone in the left of the name of the cell company

it is normal ?

how im can configure gprs in iphone ?

Yes its normal - but it doesnt mean you have 'E'dge coverage - just that you have GPRS or Edge. I cannot remember if I had an 'E' before I configured my network settings.

Configure your APN (network) details in 'Settings/General/Network'. If you dont know what details you need to enter, do a google search for '<your carrier name> apn' - it will be available.

The 'E'dge indicator is present any time 'E'dge is available. If you attempt to connect via 'E"dge prior to configuring your APN you'll get an error message saying you're not subscribed.

It does NOT denote Edge coverage. Here in the UK the 'E' is ever present and I only get GPRS on Vodafone, TMobile and O2 (all sims tested and verified against the IPhone and a Blackberry Pearl for Edge coverage).

This has been discussed many times before. I guess its a hangover from it being a US phone on a network which largely has Edge coverage.
