[Need advice][ATT Plans]

Hey guys

I need some advice.

I hate signing 2 year contracts. Hate it. I have a 1 year contract currently on T-Mobile. About to end pretty soon ( next week again ).

Anyways, the iphone att is only a 2 year contract. But if I sign a 1 year contract, I can add the internet package on it right? I will just have to wait for a jailbreak for it to work and a lockdwn file, correct?


Observ: I am not taking the jump into the ATT for myself. This is for my sister, but I am paying for it.

Observ 2: I am asking because I am trying to take away my doubts from what is true as I never care too much about ATT

Wrong place to ask questions about AT&T, Bro. Most ppl here refuse to recognize this company exists or offers anything worth consideration LOL. Most of us here don't do business with that monster LOL

I wouldn't mind their data plan, though :-)

I went with the standard plan with 2 phones, runs about $129 a month for 1400 minutes and unlimited internet.

If you plan to hack activate it you don't have to sign any contract. Go online to their site and you can buy a SIM card to use and that allows you to have a full plan without any contract.

Really? I called Apple and AT&T and they all told me the only way to go prepaid with AT&T was to try for a regular account and fail the credit check...... bastards......

I did the prepaid thing but didnt use my ssn. I didnt want the contract either. But didnt at the time know how to unlock phones.
