Has anyone been able to install Monotouch (full version) on a hackintosh?
Monotouch is a topic I researched a lot on. It should work, the full version should install. The protection is pretty strange but not hardware bound at all, unless you got a invalid keyfile, everyhting shoudl work fine.
Have you actually installed the full version of Monotouch? I can't seem to get it to work. The application installs and activates fine. When I try to build a project, I get the following error:
Invalid license. Please reactivate MonoTouch
mtouch exited with code 99
I then delete my license file located at...
~/Library/Monotouch/License.v2
and try again. I end up with the same error. I contacted support and they had me export my system profile information. Since it was showing an invalid serial number, they knew it was a hackintosh and refused to support me. I tried to fake a serial number by editing the smbios.kext, but the same error came up.
Do you have any suggestions?
Ryan
I have same problem...have you solved it?
Hi all,
I just wanted to know if anyone successfully managed to install monotouch on a hackintosh?
I installed it, activated it, everything look fine until I tried to compile my code and then I received the dreadful code 99 error.
Do you think there's a way to fake it so the hackintosh can be passed as a legit mac?
