Is there a good way of doing it? Or any way of doing it?
What i want to do is just use poof and hide everything, then setup apache, create my own webpage, and launch apps that way. It'll keep my springboard looking a little bit nicer :)

Hmm...there is obviously some mechanism to do this within Safari, clicking on phone numbers launches phone, youtube links, google maps...
I don't know what plist (if any) controls the feature, but it wouldn't be easy.
If I wanted to hide all my apps, I'd just install a launcher program and disguise it as the stocks or weather widget, then remove all the other icons. :)
That's a good way of doing it, and i've done it that way for quite a while... but i think this would be a good way of hiding apps that i didn't want people to have access to.
Granted, it wouldn't be hard to find if you were really looking, but to most people, you wouldn't be able to tell at all. I'll search around, but i haven't seen an extension like this before.
But thanks for the tip :)
[Edit]
Now that i think about it though... using the 'Phone' application under web address you can enter prefs:/ and it'll launch the settings application. I wonder where that is in a plist file, and if you could add 'launcher' or something similar to that and get the same results?
