Jailbroken 1.1.2 iPhone not syncing music. Help.

I have a 1.1.2 OOB iPhone that I've jailbroken. Everything's running fine, but the damn thing is not syncing my music collection from iTunes. It's copying the pictures and everything, but on music, it'll either copy no songs at all, or copy a few and then say "Attempting to copy to the disk "" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."

Help! I mean, it's bad enough that right now I have a 400$ iTouch; but at least it should function that much. :-(

I'm running a iTunes 7.5 on an XP SP2 machine.

I've tried reinstalling iTunes time and again, and refreshed my music collection countless times. Most of the time, as I'm browsing my collection on iTunes or editing some song's tag, iTunes suddenly erases the path from all the songs, and an exclamation mark comes next to them, and if I try to play them, it naturally tells me that the file could not be located on the disk.

have you tried syncing with a different computer, this would rule out that it is a problem with the computer, not the phone.

you could try to delete the /private/var/root/Media/iTunes_Control directory (and all its contents) using winscp or fugu
it means you have to re-transfer all your music, but it might just cure this, since when I did it it asked me again whether I wanted to set up the iPhone as a new one or restore from backup.

Fugu doesn't delete directories.

yes NotFound, I had to delete all the files, then their folders, then the itunes control folder... but it worked. (ok so yes it took me awhile, but it did work for me)

I have an upgraded 1.1.2, not an oob, with the same issue.
a couple of reboot (iPhone) and attach/detach did work.
