iTunes 7.5 and iPhone Restore

I have just downloadet and installed iTunes 7.5
Erased the old restore iPhone 1.1.1 ipsw file and asked it to restore my phone.
It downloadet the "old" ipsw file and restored the phone fine.
Jailbreak and so on went fine and it is still at v1.1.1
I have also sync fine with iTunes (outlook contact, images, video, music and so on)

Thanks for the info ToxDK. Glad to hear the restore and everything still worked. How did you perform the Jailbreak etc? Others are reporting iNdependence app no longer working under OSX with iTunes 7.5, curious to know if this affects any of the other jailbreak/activation apps

Any testing with independence? it's officially not working whit 7.5?

Please stop posting this crap anymore;

REASON:
It's because the update replaces the AppleMobileDevice.dll file.

Just download an old version of the .dll, or whatever file it is on the mac, and you're off.

Thank for taking the brave plunge and testing that for us Tox. I think it'd probably be a good idea to download and keep a copy of the 1.1.1 ipsw file. Come friday, apple will probably release 1.1.2 so we'll have to update/restore using the manual Shift + Restore method.

Could please anybody post a link for applemobiledevice.dll or help me on locating the file??? I searched both my Mac and Internet and was not successful yet

Yes. it is now official that jailbreaking via iNdepedence doesn't work. see below (from iNde. google page)

Nov. 5/07 - Was enjoying the lull before the inevitable storm... as usual, don't upgrade to iTunes 7.5. Looks like Apple removed the private functions needed for jailbreak from the MobileDevice framework. Time to find another way in...
