[iPlus] v2.0b > issues on 1.1.4

Hey guys I just learned how to jailbreak the iphone and I believe I did it, but im not quite sure.

I restored phone to factory settings (1.1.4) and then ran Iplus2.0b . It did everything automatically and on my main page it has more icons that didn't show up until Iplus2.0 was done. 1 which is term-vt100 and the other is installer.

I went to installer to find other apps to add and I wasn't able to find anything to unlock my sim so i can use it in China. I tried an older version of Anysim (1.1.3) but it didn't work anyone have any advice? and some recommended sites if possible..

Iplus2.0b preforms the unlock for you so there is no need to run Anysim 1.3 afterwards.

I take it you have tried your sim card in the phone and haven't got a signal bar

I'd start over again

Do a DFU restore to 1.1.4 again

then run (iPlus -u) it should unlock the sim as well as installer app etc



Alternatively it looks like iLiberty+ is just around the corner with full GUI

i lost you after you said start it over again..

i don't know how to DFU restore i just downloaded the 1.1.4 restore and did it that way after it was restored i had the connect to itunes to activate and i ran iplus just clicking the iplus ms-dos batch file and it did everything is there something i need to do instead?

explain please im computer illiterate

You could just do that again :)


You enter DFU by holding the home & sleep button until the screen goes blank then you let go of the sleep button but keep hold the home button down until itunes detects you phone is a restore mode.

Then if you have downloaded 1.1.4 already you hold the shift key click restore and select the 1.1.4fw from your computer.

By downloading the firmware it save a load of time waiting for iTunes to download it for you every time you need to restore.

Why not using the ziphone GUI? Is straight forward and all GUI driven. Simply a click do all the stuffs for you.

what if i already have it installed? i just did it again same process not working but im going to try your method right now

i've tried download the ziphone thing but im in china and the site won't work for me for some reason

Personally I'd stick with iplus

ziphone will give you 3.9bootloader not 3.9fb version.


Do the restore in DFU

Then when its done fire up iPlus and run the command: iplus -u

If that doesn't work get back to us here and we will try to work out why :)
