ok last night i jailbroke and unlocked my iphone 3g with blackra1n. After i pressed reset to delete all apps and settings. Now my phone is stuck on the booting screen and sometimes a loading wheel comes up. Itunes will not recognize the iphone in any mode. Can anyone help me, thanks in advance
Put your phone into Recovery Mode and restore a custom IPSW created via pwnagetool.Quote:

Avoid blackra1n (it has a lot more post jailbreak issues than redsn0w) and be more careful about selection options like erase all content and settings.
Ill try to be brief.
16GB iPhone 3GS - Stuck after Pressing "Erase all Content and Settings" in recovery Loop.
Previously Jailbroken on 3.1.2 and worked flawless. Old Baseband. DFU mode in 3GS cannot be reached by "10 sec Reboot Method". Always goes into recovery mode instead.
Recovery with Apple 3.1.2 as well as 3.0 ipsw for 3GS (tripled checked its the correct IPSW) have failed with itunes rejecting them saying:
"The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. This device isnt eligible for the requested build" FAIL
Recovery with custom iPSW created by pwnagetool 3.1.5 on MAC have also failed to process with "1600" number error. FAIL
Attempted to block authentication of Apple IPSW by adding "74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com" to my hosts file. FAIL
Installed the 4 most recent itunes releases to possibly get around that.
Redid each step above with a different itunes version. FAIL
Attempted to use newest redsnow for simple tethered reboot. FAIL
Attempted to use blackra1n. FAIL
Attempted to use iREB to get out of recover loop. FAIL
The only option i seem to have is Update and restore to 3.1.3, which will render the phone useless considering im using TMobile.
Is there any way to put the phone in DFU? (Reminder: its a 3GS, not 3G)
or somehow get passed apple verification?

Try again with custom ipsw - on a different computer or with different cable. It should work.Quote:

Ive tried 3 different computer systems with 3 different cables and about 5 different ipsw versions. Same error every time. 1600. iRecovery in Mac says "iPhone not found". Windows iRecovery says "Found iPhone/iPod in DFU/WTF mode, usb-claim_interface: could not connect claim interface 1, win error: the parameter is incorrect. I managed to get the 3GS in recovery mode after "Erase all content" mishap but simply holding both home and power button for about 45 sec.
Image on screen: The picture shows me to plug it into iTunes.
At this point iTunes would usually acknowledge it,but it doesnt.
Scenario A:
had blackra1n running in the background. It acknowledged it and started the process, just to get stuck on Geohots image with a "busy" circle in the middle.
Scenario B:
Once again in recovery i executed redsnow 0.9.2. It copied the files and attempts installation of unlock. It gets stuck on process "Activation"
Dont see how it can get stuck on Activation. Device is still on 05.11.07.
Any other suggestions?
Erase all content and settings requires you to restore the iPhone OS afterwards. There is no other fix. Use custom IPSW.Quote:

No matter where your stuck, redoing phone to old 3.1.2 firmware is super easy. Only works for unupdated phone on 3.1.2 (or earlier) firmware.
WARNING: All content of phone will be deleted in process!
1. Plug into wall charger (phone will turn on)
2. Press and Hold Power and Home BUTTONS for 45 sec (not 10 sec method)
3. Phone will enter "Real 3GS DFU Mode"
4. Plug phone into PC or MAC
5. Open iTunes
6. See if it registers in iTunes
IF YES:
A. Shift click restore and restore from Custom 3.1.2 Firmware
IF NO:
A. Reconnect to computer
B. If that fails, restart Computer and Plug in again (i had to do that)
