iPhone stepping on other devices IP addresses after waking up
Has anyone noticed how when the iphone is idle, it's iphone address becomes available and any other device that requests a DHCP address may be allocated this address? The end result being that when the iphone wakes up, the other device that has been allocated its address will complain and lose connectivity (normal behaviour).
The reason that Apple implemented things this way is obvious -- to save energy. A simple recurring ping of a non charging iPhone will illustrate that after 3-5 hours of responding to your pings, the iphone's battery is empty.
