Hello,
This is a little off topic here, but I was wondering how easy it is to buy an iPhone when you are in the US without signing the AT&T contract ?
I live in Europe and I will be in the US in a few weeks.
I was thinking of going to an Apple store and saying that I wanted to buy the phone as a gift.
Would they just sell me the phone ? Without asking me to sign anything with AT&T ?
Has anyone else done this ?

All phones are sold without a contract... you sign up to the contract later through iTunes...

one more thing, when you buy this an apple store. Do they ask for your address or some form of ID ?

No they don't. They will ask for your email though, to send you an electronic receipt.Quote:
