iPhone Mistake - Updated Firmware, now Nothing.
I made the massive mistake of trying to update to firmware 1.0.1. Well, it began to update, then crapped itself, and demanded a full restore. I didn't have much choice, so I did it.
Well, then I connected it to iTunes, and bam:
"The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be used with iTunes because the SIM card is not installed. You must insert your SIM card into your iPhone in order to activate it."
Crap. That sucks.
Ok, so I'll just run the activation for the phone and...:
$ ./tool --activate nobrickplease.plist

Yes, I'm an idiot and updated iTunes to 7.3.1 without thinking. Has anyone else had this problem? I am a tiny bit unhappy about it :( Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
-> But what is your Problem ?
Did you throw away the original SIM ?
What do you want to do later ? iAsign ? iActivate ? turbo SIM ?
So why donīt you just put back the AT&T original SIM restore the whole thing again and play with the well known software tools ?
I updatet itunes and the firmware, there were no issues, but I had to restore the phone.
