iPhone internal programming

I have no idea how to program? What would it take to create an Edit button function in Phone/Recent (calls) section listing all the recent calls. The only buttons available now are All,Missed and Clear. I do not want to clear all calls, but for business reasons I would like to keep some of the calls without having to got throught the hassle of deleting the private calls I get.

Is there a way to have the Edit button like that in the Favourites or / the Edit found in iPod/More section. Just one small button that will bring up the little red dubby on the left hand side of the screen.

Any input on this appreciated. Would this require Apple programming it into a new version, or is hacking programming capable? Thanks in advance,

PS how do we stop iTunes from automatically updating to 1.0.plusetc, want to keep 1.0.2 for the moment without the fear of the baseband being updated thus killing our HW hacks.
