iphone 4 usb ssh tunnel
I've searched but been unable to find an answer to this question. Feel free to just post a link if my searching skills are sub-par (and how you found the link!).
I'd like to be able to ssh into my iphone 4 via usb cable in order to set up a tunnel on a Windows XP based machine. itunnel was once the answer, but it doesn't appear to work any more. iusb looked interesting, but my virus scanner flags it and I haven't found any comments that suggest that it's reputable.
Thanks for the reply, Olethros.
I downloaded and unzipped it. It didn't work. I looked around and found someone saying iTunesMobileDevice.dll from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support needed to be copied into the same folder.
I copied that file in.
It still doesn't seem to work.
I type iphone_tunnel.exe 22 10987 in and it comes back with the Usage text. there doesn't appear to be any error messages, it just gives me the usage text.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Turns out I needed to use "itunnel_mux --lport 22" to get it to work.
I also downgraded to iTunes 9.2, but I'm not certain that was necessary to fix it.
Downgrade is not necessary (for using the tunnel functionality at least) , I'm using it with latest iTunes right now.
