Hi,
Is there any other possibility to activate an iPhone without jail braking it first?Because I have a brand new, bricked peace and I don't know the fw version, so I guess it is not recommended jail braking it until I now exactly these information....

If you have a phone thats in recovery/restore mode & you don't know what firmware was installed. I would install 2.2 firmware on the phone then activate & jailbreak it with quickpwn.
That way you can then look in settings/about after restoring to see if you have the correct baseband for 2.2 firmware (i.e 02.28 that works with yellowsn0w)
If you have anything else like 02.30 baseband then you'll know its been updated to 2.2.1 firmware before
