Iphone 2G with Apple Care - is pwnage reversible

Hello all

I just bought a 2G iPhone. It's currently at 2.0.1, completely stock (the phone is about a year old - I'm guessing the bootloader is 3.9?). I am switching to AT&T soon but I don't want a data plan so I'm going to need to jailbreak and also unlock it since I'm on T-Mobile for another month.

The phone has an AppleCare plan for another year - is jailbreaking and unlocking with pwnage COMPLETELY reversible? Is there ANY chance I would be denied warranty coverage if something happened and I restored the phone to its current condition, any traces? I should use pwnage 2.0.2, correct?

I'm trying to understand how that's possible... Say I want to revert to complete factory settings... Would I use bootneuter to revert to my phone's factory bootloader version? How is pwnage completely different from ziphone in this regard? (I read the "bootloader is not baseband... " thread but I still don't get it)

Should I find out my stock bootloader version after I jailbreak but before I unlock my phone?

Also somewhat related to my original post (I know this is a stupid question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I want to be sure): having ATT completely disable EDGE/GPRS doesn't mess with SMS right?

Is there any chance that ATT finds out by my IMEI that I'm using an iPhone and slickly adds the data plan to my line? Standard activation forces you to add the plan, correct?
