iPhaune - Any Canadian here?

Hey guys,

I'm from Montreal and using Rogers right now. Looking forward to testing your tricks as soon as I get my iPhone (which could be during the next 2-3 weeks - gonna drive overboard and hope to find a shop near the lines).

Is there any other Canadian (french or not) here that will want to try it? We can get in touch and check it out for Rogers / Fido (I hope it works with Fido, sincerely, since it's still half the price of Rogers... still thrice the price of ATT though).

I'm Canadian too. I was in line in Buffalo on Friday and got one. I just want to use it SO BAD! I can't even get the thing activated yet just to play with it!

Canadian here too...i'll prolly just wait for Rogers...then unlock it for Fido...

umm just wondering Rogers and Fido are the same company i was told by a rep that you dont have to unlock it to use eachothers phones, was he completely wrong?

*EDIT* went over to howardforums.com and found out i was completely wrong fido and rogers sims cant interchange.

I know... the only issue is that I'm on a mac and his iTunes hack is for windows :(.

Hello im from St-Sauveur north of Montreal, i got my iphone yesterday,activate wit Att gophone prepaid with 99 9999 99 sociaal number and US adress, nw i can play with the phone, im waiting for the unlock solution

Are you sure you want to unlock it and use it here ... before it becomes officially availabe in CAN?

3cents/kbyte ... there is no reasonable data package available from either rogers or fido.

I am sure rogers/fido will offer a reasonable data plan when it will be available... but right now... it's insane.

I hooked up to the internet using my fido a couple of month ago... and I tried a "speed test page". result... my invoice end up being 360$ (290$ data)

If you absolutely want the iphone right now... Maybe the logic solution is to ask rogers/fido to "disable web access" and use the phone as a phone ... and transfer files/photos/music using wi-fi.

Maybe you have a better idea ? I live in Montreal, I too want a reasonable solution... YESTERDAY!! lol.
