Hi... I have bought a new iphone with 1.1.2 and 4.6 boot loader... i have synced some songs through itunes... but when i play that song without head phones in my iphone only left side speaker present in the bottom of the iphone works.. and the other in the right side works but very very slightly.. is this normal? or should i go get my iphone replaced? kindly help me.. pls..thank you..

haha.. cool... tats really funny... am sorry for asking such an absurd question... but the output is really very poor in this mobile.. with lots of distortion when speaker volume is full...
What do u expect from a tiny speaker? It depends on the quality of the audio file also ... if its in high frequencies then it'll sound like crap on the speakers. If u want to increase the volume (not the sound quality) then u can try poking the speakers (left side if not mistaken) with a needle or something sharp to break a membrane covering it. But don't poke too deep. Its known to increase the sound level.
That sounds great... but when they r able to manufacture such a nice mobile phone why are they so reluctant about the speakers? never mind... hehe...:D
let me now share the funniest part that happened today... I did not go through the manual of the iphone, so i was ignorant about the mic that is on the right side of the phone.. i misinterpreted the mic as a speaker... so i went to the shop where i purchsed to get my phone replaced thinking that one of the speaker(Actually mic :D) is not working... He said that it was not a speaker but its a tweeter... so only very minute sounds wil be audible from that one... :))
Only shows how stupid ppl sometimes are. BTW, check your equalizer in the ipod settings. Chooce a setting where your speakers sound better.
yeah you are right..thats a good idea.. I just tried changing the EQ settings.. hmmm not bad... well,,, I guess this is the maximum performance level iphone is capable of, when speaker output is concerned... How about your iphones? does it give distorted output when volume level is high?
Anyways as of now my iphone is like a costly ipod touch.. hehe... cos its 1.1.2 OOTB,,,, stil waiting for the unlock stuff to be released...:( ... I didn't even attend a call in my iphone which makes me worried.... Everyday i pray God to flash some new ideas to the hackers so that they can come up with unlocking methods....:D
I feel Buying a turbosim is a bad idea..becos once unlocking method is revealed turbosim has to be thrown away....

what is the general advice about internal speaker sound quality
i mean , sound check on
a little bit volume lock
and maybe an EQ channel (i prefer bass reducer)
