Ok, I know that Voicemail wouldn't work if the Phone is unlocked. I know that my carrier here in Europe/CH uses UMTS for internet and do not support EDGE. But in the end I have to say that if there is a chance to Hack this thing, I will not complain about this missing feautures.
Edge is very slow, so I prefer to use WiFi. And a visual Voicemail is not relevant for me. The important thing is to use my SIM Card, GSM and adaptable to the Quad Band used by the iPhone... And of course the syncronisation with iTunes. :) Thats all!

Now, I have bought one on ebay, should be here soon. I will try to activate with the SSN 999-99-9999 and use it as an iPod and internet device till it's possible to unlock. And I hope that the big brains behind that will finde an acurate way to do so!

Voicemail will work, but the "visual" aspect of it will not.

yeah, you will still be able to dial for voicemail, but you won;t get the visual aspect. which i don;t really care about anyway.
