INSTALLER Problem! 1.1.2 HELP!

Hey guys, i have a UK 1.1.2 jailbreaked iphone, and using my pay as you go O2 sim card in it. The other day i went into installer and checked out the updates available, one of them was to update installer itself. So i clicked on it and let it do its thing and update installer. When it finshed it went back to the springboard. Now everytime i click on Installer, it just goes back to the springboard and so i cant get onto installer. Tried resettiing and then on going on installer but nothing, just goes back to the springboard everytime i try.

So can please anyone help me on this!

hey :) same thing happened to me spent 3 hrs looking all over the net cant find a answer. can someone please help us. i love my 3rd party apps.
my phone is 1.0.2 upgraded 1.1.1

Something similary happend to me as well.
The update of the installer made crash many apps and safari....don't ask me why.

Trying to fix it I messed up all the phone....and so I had to restore it....
if you do pay attention to do not restore with the 1.1.3 firmware but download the 1.1.2 and use that (with the SHIFT+CLICK trick)

so we have to restore completely and lose everything? why is this? i only clicked to update installer, nothing else, why is this happening? there must be another way?

hey redfanatic thats what i did only lost the apps i had installed so no biggie i was just happy it worked. and remember as moska said dont go to 1.1.3

right well ok! Can you give me full instructions or link on this restoring thing to 1,1,2 so u dont go 1.1.3. I dont know anything bout restoring etc so some help please..

you will need to download the 1.1.2 firmware file simple google to find it. have the phone plugged into the pc
send you iphone to restore mode "hold power n home" till it shuts down may take a few tries. Itunes will auto load and ask if u wish to restore . hold down the shift key on the keyboard and click restore in itunes you can now select the firmware you have downloaded it will take about 10 mins to upload the firmware onto the iphone. from there follow this guide. it says 1.1.1 but will work on your phone

well i just updated my installer to whatever version it was shown there and i had the same problem too. Now i can't get into installer. Crap.

Guess the only thing we can do is to restore the whole phone. Was wondering where the application folders are. Can we back them up through win SCP and copy them back in after i've restored my phone?

Can someone with this problem SSH in and run Installer from the command line? What error comes up?

right guys well ive decided to just update and jailbreak 1.1.3 using one of the methods given, that way my problem will be gone and i will be on 1.1.3. am i right in saying this?
also who's guide shall i use? quite a couple and am not sure which one is the best and most reliable to be working etc
