How-To: Best way to Browse iPhone, easy edit .plist, manipulate .db on OS X
i've seen many user asking how to edit the plist files, or how to edit the .db files.
well, i think some of you still do it the hard way :)
All the tools are for Mac OS X
To browse the files on the iPhone, you have to install MacFUSE and SSHFS
http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/ (macfuse and sshfs on the same page, two downloads)
install everything and you can browse the iPhone like a normaly mounted filesystem.
copy, delete, edit, all very easy and confortable
To edit the .plist files you best use the programm "Property List Editor.app", which is included in the xCode Developer Kit. you can eighter download the xCode Developer Kit via
http://developer.apple.com or install it via the OS X installer DVD
with this program you can edit the plist files very easy, without needing to decode/encode it, just double click edit the file, save it, et voila
To edit the .db (SQlite) files the best programm is the opensource "SQLite Database Browser".
