Guys I got my unlocked iphone today. It's 1.1.1
All features seem to be running fine except that itunes is not detecting my iphone. I tried using itunes version 7.4.2, 7.4.3 and 7.5 but it just won't show my iphone. The PC detected the iphone and said "hardware installed and ready to use".
Kindy assist. :( :( :( Is there a way to transfer songs without itunes?

press start
then run
type in services.msc
you should see a list of services.
find apple mobile device and make sure its not stopped
if it is then double click it and change it to automatic and start it.
restart itunes and it should show up
Thanx for your reply. I checked the services. apple mobile device is working just like you said it should. But still no luck. :( Man, an iPhone without songs.... can't even show it off.... everyone wants to hit the ipod button! :( :(Quote:

- Try a different cable
- Try a different USB port
- Try to reboot your PC
- Try another PC
try uninstalling itunes and then instaling it again. it worked for my friend and he had a similar problem
replace the lockdownd file..
use winscp to locate your original lockdownfile (you will need to have ssh access to your iphone ) and replace it with a factory activated 1.1.1 lockdown file.
if this sounds greek then google.
Problem solved: It was my anti-virus(Kaspersky) which had blocked the access. It's all fine now. This is truly the best iPod ever.
