Has anyone updated from an unlocked 1.0.2? (mac)

I did. Running on 1.1.1 now. Everything working. For the method, you will have to google for it im afraid.

from hw unlocked iphone -> revirginiized -> used independece pre 1.1.1 -> itunes to 1.1.1 -> anysim 1.1

revirginized using the "other" groups automated tool

I just did the upgrade this week. I used iDemocracy and it worked great!! :)

just did it with the tut on hacktheiphone.com

took like an h to complete

Do i need to virginize my phone first? I read in the iNdependence help part that if i have 1.0.2 already, then I don't need to downgrade, I can just update to 1.1.1 in iNdependence. I then want to run anysim 1.1, is this right do you know?

if you have an unlocked iphone using 1.02 and used anything older than anysim 1.1
then you have to revigrinize it before you upgrade

also i recommend doing a restore before doing any of this just to have a fresh iphone

Considering the verginizer, it is just a script and a couple of files is all you need. It is really very simple. Look up the virginizing threads in the unlocking forum. There was one for windows (with photos) but it works for Mac too, since basically everything is done on the phone.

I did it too, using the method from "The Others"

1.0.2 anysim unlocked -> revirginized -> used independence pre 1.1.1 -> itunes to 1.1.1 -> activated/jailbreaked with independence -> anysim 1.1
