Firmware 1.1.1 and CarrierMap.plist

I tried to add a new carrier to CarrierMap.plist (see /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/) but it does not seem to work. Maybe it does not work for me because the MNC code for my carrier is only 2 digits longs instead of the "usual" 3 digits? Right now I am forced to add my settings to UnknownCarrier.plist for them to be used but I would like to use MyCarrier_MyCountry.plist instead. Did anyone else on this forum try to modify CarrierMap.plist and if so, with or without success? Thanks.

Yeah, I've tried modifying that plist too without much success.

That would be very useful. Then you could have your custom carrier logo for your carrier and still when you're roaming. I think I need to play with this too... hmm..

don't forget to put a zero behind it (example: belgium proximus=206 01, so put 206010)
also make a plist named after the carrier (example: PROXIMUS_BE.plist)
Although the carrier logo will not be changeable with this.

This still has no effect on my handset. I've played with this over the last couple of days. I've tried a number of combinations for my carrier (T-Mobile - 31026, 310026, 310260), as well as a number of different file names. (Which were referenced in the CarrierMap.plist file.)

Indeed, it should not change anything except your edge data (if you changed this in the yourcarrier plist you needed to make) and if you want the rest (carrier options) to change, then there are other files involved before you will notice the changes on your preferences.

Thanks. That was the sole reason I was attempting to modify the file. (EDGE settings.) However, it still utilizes the UnknownCarrier.plist. (Or the last option, if I remove the UnknownCarrier.plist file.) Very odd. I am presuming that your works, as you seem knowledgeable on this.

The other options would be interesting to see implemented. (Account page, dialing codes, etc.)
