Hi guys, I had a 1.1.1 all working iPhone but a friend of mine dropped it, I thought it was ok but it's not the whole last line of the keyboard is dead i thought it was software so i restored it. When I restored it I realized I could type up to prefs but no :// because the special character button wasn't working so I can't jailbreak it...
I'm stuck on the activate iPhone screen!!!
How can I activate it without this method???
i had the same problem.... it seems the only way is to change the touchscreen and the screen (it comes togheter) that will set you back for around 120 U$S

it seems that the iphone is too delicate... ive dropped nokia phones thousand times and ive never had a problem...
drop the iphone once and you got a very expensive brick....
If you have a mac use independence, otherwise you may have to use carnival or idemocracy to activate it.
Alternatively if you have SSH working you can just drag the lockdownd file onto the phone and it will activate it. Check the dev team wiki for more info.
However, if your touch screen is broken then it won't make any difference how you activate it as you won't be able to get the bottom of the screen to work! I am afraid that you may have to buy a new iPhone or replace the screen if thats the case!
the thing is no matter if he can activate it or not.. his iphone is useless now.. if you can use the lower touchscreen part.. you cant do anything with it... is a brick now
