Please can someone help change my sms tone. I have created the tone I want to use as a caf file and used ibrckr as a way to get to the System/Library/Audio/UISounds/ location. Transfering the new file (renamed ReceivedMessage.caf ) into this folder having deleated the original one. Recieved messages still alert with the original sound? Anyone able to help please?
I had the same problem, what i did was do what you have done to get to the right folder then name the new tone exactly the same as the original one and drag it in to the folder, it will then tell you one already exists and just choose to replace it. then it works!Quote:

I think the error you've made is deleting the file from the iphone before putting the new one on. you should of just dragged the new exact named one on and then clicked replace. maybe by deleting the original first that has caused a problem. try replacing maybe the email recieved one this way and see what happens
Thanks, Ive been a real wally and been changing the message recieved file not the SMS recieved file. Thanks for your help it now works!!!
