Cannot downgrade to 1.0.2 for jailbreak
Hi,
i have been searching but found no answer.
i have a new iphone 1.1.1 in the box, which i wanted to jailbreak with jailbreakme.com. That did not work.. tried several times, no go.. it always puts me back to the activation screen and then nothing happens..
So i thought i use the other hacking system.. which involves downgrading to 1.0.2
So i first restored to a fresh 1.1.1
- putted the iphone in DFU mode with independence.
- quit independence
- fired up iTunes, option restored with firmware 1.0.2
- starts normally with the downgrade
- the the waiting for iphone screen pops up and stays.. i waited very long( hours) but still a rotating thing on the iphone..
disconnected (after an hour or so) and launched independence again, says it is still version 1.1.1
restored again to 1.1.1 and did the entire process again.. but nothing..
any ideas?
i tried on:
macbook pro leopard
itunes 7.4.3
powermac g5 tiger
itunes 7.4.2
