BL4.6 vs BL3.9 WiFi Signal difference?

Hello everyone,

I had the chance to test something, I own a 1.1.2OTB iPhone. I did H/W downgrade to 3.9 and it went pretty good, everything is working perfectly. Today, a friend of mine gave his iPhone to me. And that iPhone is 1.1.2OTB (just jailbroken with bl 4.6).

I come to realise that, the wifi on h/w unlocked iPhone is lower than the jailbreaked BL4.6 iPhone. I moved from room to room in my house, and the result is always the same.

I was wondering if this is normal? Can there be a difference about WiFi signal between BL4.6 and BL3.9...

I belive I'd be finding about it myself after I preform H/W unlock on my friends iPhone, but it made me really curious.

(FIXED, PROBLEM CAUSED BECAUSE OF THE LOOSE MIDDLE BOLT!)

Same here.
With BL3.9 I'm getting 1 bar less of wifi signal.

As BL has nothing to do with radios, and the rest it's the same as before downgrading... only thing I can think of (although I'm pretty sure I didn't) if is I damaged anything during HW downgrade.
Maybe before the HW operations the shields were better? I don't know.

BTW another thing I noticed is that the voltage of the batyery has increased from 4.140 v to 4.211 v.

Chances are you damaged your antenna or your shields a little bit when opening the phone. That's what's making the signal a little lower.

FIXED: a simple mistake, I did not screw the middle middle bolt that connect to the antenna. Now works like a charm ;)
