Baseband questions 1.0.0, 1.0.2
Hello forum, I've got a series of questions regarding the recent 'no service' situation which many have been experiencing including myself with brand new phones both factory fresh and refurbished (factory fresh in my case).
First I would like to lay out the scenario.
Scenario:
iPhone gets flashed from original state of version 1.0.0 to 1.0.2. Thus:
-baseband gets flashed/updated.
-firmware flashed/updated.
Questions:
1.) iPhone restore back to 1.0.1 from 1.0.2 possible because it uses the same baseband version?
2.) iPhone restore back to 1.0.0 (via iTunes) from 1.0.2 results in error due to baseband version?
3.) If executing bbupdate on the baseband using version 1.0.0 EEP data, will the restore back to 1.0.0 be successful (#1 resulting in success?)?
4.) Does #3 reset the unlock attempts?
I am trying to figure out why an iPhone I recently worked on (out of the many many I've done thus far in the last couple weeks) has not been successful. Resulting in the no service/invalid sim error.
I've restored the firmware and reflashed the baseband (with the 3_14 files i.e. 1.0.1/1.0.2 version) numerous times yet no luck.
I point out that the phone was brand new factory fresh obtained from an AT&T store.
Cheers and Thanks for the help guys
