AppTap Freeze

I just unlocked my iPhone using anySIM. In order to do this I had to restore my iPhone first. In doing so I (obviously) erased AppTap Installer. Now, each time I try to install AppTap it just hangs and I get the yellow triangle telling me to connect to iTunes.

WTF am I doing wrong?

Here are the steps I follow...

1) restore using iTunes
2) validate that firmware 1.02 is loaded
3) Activate using iNdependence
4) Double Click on 'AppTapp Installer' file that I downloaded (ensured it was the correct version).

I've also tried Jailbreaking, Installing SSH/SFTP/SCP, Returning to Jail after step 3 but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

By the way, (other than the AppTap thing) my iPhone is up and running on a pre-paid SIM that I'm using here in Kiev, Ukraine on UMC. I'll try my normal SIM when I get back home to Mexico.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

try quitting iNdependence before you install it

I had the same problem for the longest time. I was running the wrong version of AppTapp. Even when I had the right one I had to quit the application and restart apptapp.

check the version of iPhone ; if f.i. 1.02, make sure you use the same in AppTapp
running AppTapp : make sure iTunes is CLOSED

I had exactly the same problem...I explain
I was using Itunes 7.3.6...then...I activated via the old independance...then installed apptapp...no problem. I could install ssh..launcher...no problem....
after I unlocked it via unlock.....no problem... I then updated to the last itunes..directly...no problem until I wanted to use apptap....there nothing was working....then I decided to remove the application via Fugu...manually...
Restarted Ok the icon disapeared...and then I used the new apptapp installer and the new independance 1.2.1 I had itunes 7.4.1....

Then I wanted to use the Installer of apptapp...itunes was closed....but in the middle of the process...came the yellow triangle....
so I had to restart the process. Did the same...reactivated via independance....still not possible....always the yelloy triangle
I would like to reinstall this very usefull but I dont dare anymore....
What could I do wrong?
any other way to install this apptapp?

Thanks, it's working now. I think that the problem was that I left iNdependence open during the AppTap installation. When I tried again (after closing iNdependence) it worked like a charm.
