Any way for me to reload a iphone backup even though it doesn't appear in Itunes?

I had to completely remove Itunes from my PC but with that went my backups. I made a backup of it before uninstalling but I don't see it listed in Itunes. Is there any way to get Itunes to recognize the backup folder in Appdata\mobilesync?

I did ssh out the db files before trying to move to 3.0 the other day so it's not a huge issue but I rather not lose whatever I've sent/received in text messages from the past couple of days

theoretically it should work. but ive tried the sshing thing when moving from 1.x to 2.x
i backed up the db files etc, but after i moved the files back in, it wouldnt show up...so it was a mess..
in short didnt work for me.
