[Advice] Screen went black. It's frozen now.

I recently got a used 8gb iphone. Everything was working great with the 3rd party apps i downloaded. Until right now.

I couldn't wake up my screen. I thought my iphone was dead!
I placed it on my dock. Itunes detected everything. But the screen is still black.
Eventually the screen came on. It kind of flickered I think.

However everything is frozen. How do I restart an iphone if everything it frozen?

I hope my logic is correct in thinking that the screen wouldnt wake up because of a frozen iphone instead of a faulty screen? Please reinforce my suspicions.

yikes searched youtube and did the hold home + top button.....

Is iphone freezing common? I hope it is not a sign of a dying phone... only software issues..

Hi. Sorry about your problem. Without more info, I'l do a DFU restore to 1.1.4. Hope it helps.

What 3rd party apps have you installed?
