[Advice] Anyone else have old jailbroken apps working on a locked 2.0 FW phone?

Interesting thing happened when i upgraded to my new 3g iphone.
I had an unlocked and jailbroken 1st gen phone with a ton of apps on it, when i got my new phone i wanted to transfer my contacts music etc to my new phone. Plugged the 3g into itunes hit restore from my old one and to my surprise 2 installer apps survived.
Contacts (as a standalone app on the springboard) and Make it Mine.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Contacts is actually part of the new 2.0 firmware (and was actually always a hidden icon I believe) and the make it mine thing has been shown to survive updates, not entirely sure why but I read the reason why before somewhere on this forum.

when u flash a firmware, it doesn't re-do what makeitmine changes, the app didn't even survive just the change it made to ur iphone files, which isn't something that changes when u sync/restore.

and contacts has always been an app on ur phone, the icon was just always hidden, on 1.1.2 i just unhide the app with customize and bam, instant icon on springboard
