Address Book

Ok so I may have messed up big time, not sure, but heres my question.

A while ago I had to restore my phone after using quickpwn, before i did I made a backup, and I also went to my phone through iPhoneBrowser and made a backup of the AddressBook.sqlitedb file onto my comp.

Now that my phone was restore I figured I could go back into iPhoneBrowser and replace the AddressBook.sqlitedb with the one on my computer.... but no. When I delete the old one and put the new one in nothing changes.

Am I replacing the wrong file? I thought the contacts were on the AddressBook.sqlitedb file.

Also if I do have the right file and something is simply messing up is there anyway for my to import the AddressBook.sqlitedb into Outlook or a similar program, or at least a program that would convert the SQL into a CVS??

It would have been better to replace the file in one go, rather than deleting the old one and putting the backup in. Now you have changed the owner of the file to root, which may be the cause of the problem.

If you're jailbroken, you probably have Cydia and perhaps OpenSSH or MobileTerminal on your phone? They can help you resolve this.

you have to change the owner to the file in order to work
in terminal write: chown mobile /private/var/mobile/AddressBook/AddressBook.sqlitedb then hit enter

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i have done as u wrote and my contacts doesn't appear on my phone. The file AddressBook.sqlitedb is 168 KB and i replaced it on two different locations
/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook/AddressBook.sqlitedb
/var/root/Library/AddressBook/AddressBook.sqlitedb

Done the thing in mobile terminal but still nothing. Is there another way I can get my contacts from AddressBook.sqlitedb?
