3GS missing video record and youtube/email upload (serious hacking challenge)
I'm not sure how long ago this switch happened, because I don't use these features very often (but often enough that I want them back), but I went to use my video recording the other day and the toggle in the lower right-hand corner was missing. After looking through my phone for a bit, I also noticed that in the camera roll, I no longer have the option to send my previously recorded videos to youtube or email them (the icon to do so is also missing). I had previously downloaded "Video Stabilizer" (only works on the 3GS) from the appstore, and that is now saying that my device is not compatible.
After digging around on the internet, I was only able to find info to get the 2G/3G models to have video recording natively, not a single page came up regarding my problem. To sum up, the only info I found came from a modmyi post quoted below:

Now if you want the video recording software to work then by all means go to your M68AP.plist in SpringBoard.app and add in boolean "video-camera" and set it to 1 for yes in the capabilities dictionary. Presto! You get the video camera software.
Just to rule it out as a possibility, I checked to make sure the "video-camera" boolean was entered in the M68AP.plist, and it was (it was also marked <true/>).
From what I can gather, my 3GS is somehow reporting that it's a 3G model, and won't allow the video record or upload functions to be used. My question is, how do I get it back?
