I am shocked so far with how slow the 2.0 firmware works.... Eveything from displaying General settings, About, to typing new URL in Safari, or just typing anything, not to mention the time needed to open the Camera AND takinging a picture AND then waiting to take another shot.... ALL extremely slow, good 1 second slower than similar operations in 1.1.4.
Anyone else finds it that way? It's like running Vista on a P3... 1.1.4 was reasonably responsive, 2.0.... nowhere near...

Yes, it has some issues. Speed hasn't been a major one for me though, except one time when the SMS programme was slow to catch up with my typing, but I think the OS and CPU were busy looking for service too. Otherwise good, except for the bloody locate me not working in the UK on some people's phones. Well documented issue for UK users on Apple's forums.
So yes, there are definately bugs that need hammered out!

It may sound silly, but if you consider quick jumping around apps and using each for just a few seconds, like quick check of email, taking a pic, sending an sms, one second delay on most clicks quickly adds up and spoils the experience, especially remembering the fast response of 1.1.4.Quote:

Same here. I get sluggish response from many apps bringing up the keyboard and have had Safari and Mail crash a few times. Hope it's just software or firmware and not hardware.
I'd say it was mainlly designed for the new 3g phone which includes a new faster processor and such. It may be problems apple never fix. Glad I'm happy with 1.1.3.
