even after modifying the "PhoneNumberTemplates.txt", It still seems to me that to open the sms.app takes longer than on 1.02 (I upgraded 2 days ago).
Could you just check and tell me your values.
It takes me 2.1 seconds from the moment I tap on http://www.aeonscope.net/wp-content/...-text-icon.png until the sms inbox is loaded.

I believe that depends on the number of messages you keep and encoding (e.g. if you got unicode characters, it'd take longer).... When I don't have lots of unicode it takes about half that long to load, but YMMV....
Can anyone tell me if 2.1 is normal or not.
How long does it take for you to load the sms inbox?
mine is 1.7ish but i dont have more than 3 text convos right now
