[1.1.2] [Solved] iTunes won't detect iPhone
Hi all,
Got a bit of a problem. I have a 1.1.2OTB that was jailbroken/activated/unlocked with Ziphone (still running the 4.6BL) and initially iTunes would sync with my phone, however I recently noticed that it simply does not detect the phone. If I put the phone into restore mode, iTunes will display a message saying the phone is in restore mode, but when out of restore mode it simply won't detect. Oddly, iSync WOULD sync as iTunes had previously set up the device.
Now, I have just reinstalled Leopard on my Mac and low and behold, it still doesn't detect my iPhone. Naturally I now want to sync my contacts and calendar off the iPhone so I would really like to get this working!! In all cases (old install and new) I am running iTunes 7.4.2 (which I would like to stick with personally, unless someone has had exactly the same situation resolved with an update to a higher version).
Any suggestions? I guess in the worst case I could locate the contacts and calendar files and perhaps just update to 1.1.4 and copy the backed up dbs back to the phone and (pending the iTunes detecting the phone) sync from it, but a bit unsure exactly how to proceed at this point so any suggestions would be appreciated.
EDIT: Some extra info: I CAN SSH to the phone and also use Disk for iPhone to mount it to access the contents, just cannot detect and sync via iTunes. Also, when I connect my iPhone to my mac it automatically downloads the images.
Thanks!
Solution: I had 'Ziphone iBrickr Fix' installed. This was the culprit. Uninstalling and rebooting the phone sorted the problem.
