[1.1.2 (1.1.2 OTB)] Major Problems with Installer!

Hi Guys,

Basically I have had a jailbroken and activated iPhone (via jailbreakme method) for some time now, and recently used ZiPhone 2.4 to unlock it, by selecting only the unlock box in advanced features section and unticking all other boxes.

However I am now having severe problems wih Installer resulting in the frequent inability to install or sometimes even unistall packages through installer due to the following error message appearing prior to any progress being made in the installation bar:

"Error: Package download failed: can't find host!"

Does anybody know why this is happening and what I can do to resolve his issue?I have a 1.1.2OTB phone, with no firmware updates, BL4.6 and iTunes 7.5.0.20.

That simply means there is something wrong with your wifi! Just test the wifi with another device and it should get all better.

exactly lol that means unable to connect to the repository...

if your using modmyiphone.com thats the reason... they are down check their site and take not of what repositorys you are using

modmyiphone's apparently been down for a few days... i hope they come back

Well my wifi seems to be fine since I can access websites on safar, update weather and stocks etc perfectly fine...

I've also tried with many different types of repositories, including the included community sources. Occasionally it will work and the package will install, but the large majority of those times this error occurs.

Anybody got any ideas?

I have the same problem with a 1.1.3 OOTB unlcoked with ziphone 2.4. the iphone is running 1.1.3 and i can't downlaod apps from Installer either i get the message "Error: Package download failed". can someone help me please. i have downloaded apps before but then all of a sudden it stopped working?

Anybody got any ideas on a potential solution for this issue? As you can imagine its pretty frustrating having a jailbroken yet app-less phone lol!
