[1.0.2] iLiberty+ failed to JB, stuck at BSD Root error after DFU
Well, the title pretty much says it all. I was trying to jailbreak my 1.0.2 BL3.9 using the latest version of iLiberty+ (mac) and it just hung. I had to force quit. After reboot a whole bunch of text scrolled across the screeen and then I got the dreaded BSD root: md0... error. I tried a regular restore. That didn't work, same problem. I tried it again. No luck. I tried two DFU restores (black screen) and it is still doing it. I was trying to jailbreak so I could virginize and upgrade since I originally unlocked with AnySIM 1.0.1 (or .2, but what's the difference in this case).
Am I screwed?
Any help is appreciated.
Update: I was able to use iLiberty+ to get the phone to boot again by taking it out of recovery mode. I then used a friends 10.4 computer to activate. To do that I had to downgrade iTunes to 7.4.2 and get iNdependence 1.2.5. The key was to replace the updated MobileFramwork so the iTunes installer could overwrite it with the old one. Now I am back up and running. Next step is to virginize and upgrade. I think I will wait for a day or two to let my stomach settle :)
