After unlocking the phone, I've restored it and the phone locks back up (asks me to activate the phone), requiring me to just jailbreak it again. After jailbreaking it, the phone is unlocked and I don't need to run the .pxl file. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? I'm on a Windows PC btw.

Try restoring the baseband with bbupdater -v.

the answer is no, it will always revert back to wanting an activation with ATT through itunes. it is easily bypassed with the lockdownd method but thats just how the phone is designed

oh, damn. i was told that this wouldnt happen if its unlocked with an intel mac, but i dont have one, so i guess i'm out of luck.
