Default Prepaid plan to activate 1.1.1? Then switch to regular AT&T sim?

Hey guys, this may be a stupid question, but please bare with me.

I currently have a family plan with AT&T (non iPhone). Prior to 1.1.1 release, I just used iAsign and bypassed the activation and used my old AT&T plan on the iPhone.

With 1.1.1, do you think I can activate the iPhone with it's original supplied SIM on a pay as you go plan. Then once the phone is activated, switch the SIM back to my old AT&T sim?

Will this bring my phone back to the pre-activation state?

    Thanks for your response!

    Hmmm.

I think you can even bypass the activation using the Jon's DVD method. Which SimFree gives for free on their site. But I'm not sure so you might want to check it.

Plus, Why would you update your iPhone just want for the amazing guys that work here to find a way around it. It's just like with the PSP, Sony update, and someone cracks it.

(well not really like the PSP, but still...)

If you install 1.1.1, the baseband unlock will be gone. Therefore, you won't be able to use any other SIM even if you get past the activation.
