Just wondering if the is a Wiki for power saving techniques for the iPhone. I cannot seem to find a good tips and tricks out there.

Also wondering if there is a way to change the stock alert for SMS messages? I have a custom one I want to load. Is there a way to name the one I have the same as the stock one to fool the phone?

I am on PC with a unlocked iPhone.

Turn of your wifi in youre not using it, this saves me a lot of battery, also bluetooth comsumes a lot of power.

For the sms tone, yes you can change it, use ibrickr. I have custom sounds in my iphone on almost every event LOL

What has worked for me was to install ULctl via installer and "unload -w" both the open ssh and dropbear ssh com's.

Disabling wifi is good but if you use it most of the time it doesn't matter all that much because it's shut off once the phone is locked.

Bluetooth yes, kill it.
