PLS Help - 3GS reboots after 3 min. baseband corrupt no wifi nor bluetooth
Hi everyone!
I seriously need some help of the iphone gurus.
i was happily upgrading my 3gs from 3.1.2 (jailbreak + unlock + 05.11.07) to 4.3.3 (jailbreak + unlock + 05.11.07) which worked out fine with snowbreeze+ultrasnow.
until the day i needed to turn off the phone to switch simcards. (my last action i recall was to install the latest cydia update)
Anyway after i wanted to turn the phone on again it went into an infinite booting loop...
after multiple hardresets and hoping it may boot properly i gave up and decided to reinstall 4.3.3 cf within this restore state my computer went down...
so i did the whole installation business again till it got completed the only issue was that now my wifi as well as bluetooth, imei is greyed out... the phone is searching for the provider.
i tried to upgrade further to 5.0.1 (which worked out) but the same state with the greyed out wifi etc.
Further more while its booting properly with 4.3.3 as well as 5.0.1 it reboots automatically after 3 minutes and gets back into a booting loop
i have no idea what else i can try and REALLY hope anyone can help me fix this since iphones are a pretty expensive affair.
Thanks a lot up front
Sawyer

The bad news is that when the baseband is corrupt like this and re-flashing a newer version doesn't fix it, it's probably nothing that can be fixed by the end user. To troubleshoot the rebooting issue, download the iPhone Configuration Tool from Apple's Enterprise site and pull a console log from the phone while it is booted, that should help you indicate what the problem is. Post that and let us know.

Ah, thought I responded to this. The log file does indicate what you thought, the baseband itself is bricked. You can attempt a standard restore of 5.0.1 to attempt to upgrade the baseband, but I do not believe it will work. It will not hurt anything to try, though.
