Default PLEEEEASE HELP!!! iphone stuck in recovery mode/dfu mode but i haven't saved data! :(

hi everyone!! i am really hoping someone can help me with my predicament!!! well, i have an iphone 3gs, i don't think i have ever backed it up on itunes and i've had it since december last year :-/ (i know - very silly). Anyway, last week i was using facebook on my phone and it froze so i deleted the app and tried to install facebook again but my battery died so i left it charging over night and when i looked at it in the morning it just displayed the itunes logo with a usb cable pointing to it. I've been told it's in recovery or dfu mode and to try tiny umbrella, so i did but it seemed to take it out of recovery and show the apple logo then go black, then the apple logo and back to itunes logo!! i also left it into a phone repair shop and they said they can't do anything without erasing the data I have all photos of my 6 month old son on this since he was born!!! so i really don't want to restore the phone at risk of loosing everything!! i don't even care if the phone breaks, i just need the photos i would be soooooooooo grateful if someone could help me!! ps - i am not very technically minded! oh and i have windows vista.
    Thank you for reading! x

Not being technically minded poses a real problem here -_-
The phone repair shop seems useless or lazy.. not so sure which at this time.

Heres some guides explaining how to get emergency access to your phone to try and recover pictures and stuff, but thats only if you can make sense of them
Emergency SSH access using a pwn'd DFU mode RamDisk

You might end up having to get a friend who is technically minded go thru the process with you OR you should probably send it to some one to get the data off and restore the iPhone
Get the latest info for NoAccSplash Here
Currently it should work on iOS 4.x - 6.x
If you'd like to help extend its functionality, the source is also available.

    Hello, friend.
I met the similar problem with you, and I later solve it successfully following the steps below to recover my data from iPhone.
    Step 1 Scan your iPhone
Your iPhone is the iPhone 4/3GS, you will be asked to download a plug-in first. Do it. After that, please enter the scanning mode by following the steps below:
    1. Hold your iPhone and click "Start".
    2. Hold the Power and Home buttons at the same time for exactly 10 seconds.
    3. Keep holding the Home button, but release the Power button, and, until you've entered the scanning mode successfully.
    Step 2 Preview and Recovering
After the a few minutes' scan, the program will show you all found recoverable contents on your iPhone. You can only tick the catalogues you want to retrieve. You can also switch the button on the top to selectively preview the files one by one. Then mark those you want and click Recover to restore and save them on your computer.

When you made the backup, you may have told it to encrypt the backup so that you can solve problem iPhone stuck in recovery mode.

Therefore I used the normal iTunes backup and restore found under the Summary tab in iTunes. If your data is still on the other phone, back it up again with iTunes. To use iTunes you have to start it, connect your iPhone to the computer with a cable, then select the iPhone button near the top right corner of the screen. Be sure not to check the encrypt button. You can recover iPhone data to factory settings successfully.
